Fourth year FSM medical students may apply to complete rotations in a wide variety of fields at National Taiwan University, although it is highly recommended that students speak Mandarin or Taiwanese.
Dates: There are two terms when visiting students are accepted, (1) mid-September through mid-January; (2) from late February to mid June.
Length of Rotation: Four to six weeks depending on the rotation
Location: Taipei, Taiwan
Language Requirement: Mandarin or Taiwanese preferred

How to Apply: Complete the Online Application. Applications from visiting students must be received at National Taiwan University two to six months prior to the elective rotation.
Rotation Areas:
- 6 week rotations: Internal Medicine, Psychiatry
- 4 week rotations: Pediatrics, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Emergency Medicine
- 3 week rotations: Neurology, Otorhinolaryngology, Urology, Dermatology, Orthopedics, Family Medicine, Anesthesiology, Rehabilitation Medicine, Surgery, Radiology

Accommodations:
Visiting students generally stay in the Taita Jing-Fu Alumni Hall. Most rooms are double occupancy and are air conditioned, have internet and cable TV and linens are included. There are no kitchens in the building but there are coin operated laundry facilities. There are restaurants located at the hospital. Rates for double occupancy are discounted for students and cost 12,000 TWD or approximately $350-400 USD per month. Single occupancy rooms are not discounted and cost 33,000 TWD or approximately $1,050 USD per month.
