Daniel Young serves as the Interim Deputy Director of Global Health Education at Northwestern’s Center for Global Health. He is responsible for the effective operations of the Center’s research and administrative activities as well as the development, oversight, and management of international education in clinical medicine and research opportunities for Feinberg students. Mr. Young oversees the integration of all international educational programs for Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine and is responsible for developing and maintaining the school’s global educational partnerships. Prior to joining Northwestern, he worked at New York University as the Assistant Director of Academic Initiatives and Global Programs at NYU’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development where he administered in collaboration with the World Health Organization an annual training institute for public health professionals focused on communications and behavioral impact in resource-limited settings. Mr. Young also worked for two years in Cuenca, Ecuador and Buenos Aires, Argentina as an English instructor and previously worked for the international nonprofit organization, AFS-USA. Mr. Young holds an MPA in Public and Non-Profit Management and Policy from New York University and a BA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
