News: Identifying Determinants of U5M in Northern Togo

We are delighted to share the publication of "Identifying Determinants of U5M in Northern Togo" led by Integrate Health and with collaboration with researchers in Togo and the Ryan Family Center for Global Primary Care at the Robert J. Havey Institute for Global Health. The project, based in northern Togo, supports strengthening of child and maternal health through both health system strengthening and education of providers and the community, including CHWs. They found that better quality of antenatal care as well as other factors including longer time between birth, were associated with higher mortality in children under five, providing insights into actions needed to further reduce deaths of these children. The project is also a recipient of an IGH catalyzer award to study the resonance of the PHC model.
